Richard J. Neves honored with emeritus status

Richard J. Neves of Blacksburg, professor of fisheries and wildlife science in the College of Natural Resources at Virginia Tech, was conferred the “professor emeritus” title by the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors during the board’s quarterly meeting on Nov. 3.

Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets alumna named Hokie Hero

Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets alumna Maj. Kara Gittes Miller, who received a degree in political science from the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences in 1999, has been selected as a Hokie Hero.
