Injury update, tackling the twist and weekend visitors …
Not much to report from practice today. They’re really not doing a lot lately that’s notable during these open periods.
Two things I did see toward the end of the first hour:
* Sean Glennon threw a dart to TE Greg Boone, in stride, and Boone showed good hands, catching it away from his body and tucking it away. A good sign for a guy who has struggled some lately.

BLACKSBURG — Virginia Tech head football coach Frank Beamer came out swinging at his news conference Tuesday.
Still riled from a caller to his Monday night radio show who ripped Tech’s struggling offense and said coaching changes were necessary if the program ever wanted to win a national championship, Beamer opened his weekly media gathering with a passionate three-minute rant.
