GREENSBORO, Ga. — A Bowden-coached team is the preseason favorite in the Atlantic Coast Conference for the 17th straight year. And it isn’t Bobby Bowden’s Florida State squad.
Clemson — coached by Tommy Bowden, son of major college football’s wins leader — was selected as the ACC favorite on Monday. It’s the first time Clemson has been the league’s preseason choice since 1991, the year before Florida State entered the league.
