Recruiting | Hokies Land Two Recruits

The Roanoke Times reported today that the Hokies got two verbal commitments today; Jerrell Eddie, a 6-6, 210 pound swingman from Charlotte, N.C., and Cadairian Raines, a 6-8, 233-pound post player. Eddie is a rising junior and a 2010 target, while Raines is a rising senior and figures to join the 2009 class. Continue reading

The rising senior ranks among the top-five football players in the state going into the fall.

David Wilson, a nationally ranked track-and-field performer and an elite running back at Danville’s George Washington High School has become the most prominent 2009 Virginia football prospect to commit to Virginia Tech.

Reports: Tide unlikely to agree to season-opener with Tech | PilotOnline.com

The Hokies got some great news today when George Washington running back David Wilson committed to the Hokies’ 2009 recruiting class. Washington Street to close to thru traffic July 28 through Aug. 15

Washington Street will be closed to thru traffic from July 28 – August 15 to support utility work for the new Basketball Practice Facility. The road will be closed from Kent Street to Spring Road and there will be no parking allowed within this section. The intersection of Spring Road and Washington Street will remain open as well as the intersection at Kent Street. Access to the YMCA building will remain open during this time.
